SMC SMCXFPMOD 1 Port XFP Module

General Information

The SMCXFPMOD is a single port XFP module which enables the SMC8748L2 to have 10G uplinks. This module supports SR, LR or ER standard XFP transceivers. 10G network connections are becoming necessary to give uplink options for gigabit edge switch and this module provides that connection. The 10G modules can be grouped together into an aggregation to enable even higher bandwidth back to the core of a network.
